If you are anything like me, deciding to eat out is much easier than deciding WHERE to go. My mind will literally go blank. What is a restaurant? What is food? Yep. Me. Every time. So I made myself a list of our favorite places to eat in Utah County and I wanted to share that with you! I’m also sharing our favorite dishes there because it’s always good to know what is good, right??

This is a recent favorite of ours! TRUreligion in Orem is one of the best breakfast places in Utah County! The food is delicious and the restaurant itself is so quirky and fun. It does get busy on the weekends though, so try to get there as early as you can if you don’t want to wait too long!

Hruskas Kolaches (Breakfast)

We talked about Kolaches in our Provo Travel Guide, but I wanted to give them a double shout-out because they are AMAZING. Seriously, they are so good and you can eat them with one hand. One savory kolache for breakfast and I am set for the day. They have even started selling frozen kolaches that you can bake at home and I am in heaven.

  • Sausage, Egg, and Cheese
  • Bacon, Egg, and Cheese
  • Chicken Cilantro Omelette
  • Sausage and Gravy
  • Peach and cream cheese
  • Raspberry and cream cheese

Nazca Grill and Peruvian Fusion Cuisine (Lunch and Dinner)

Nazca has become one of our favorite Peruvian restaurants! Their food feels so fresh and delicious. They must have a new cook or something because the food just keeps getting better every time we go!

Burger Supreme (Lunch and Dinner)

Another repeat from our Provo Travel Guide, but another good one! Who doesn’t love burgers and fries? This place has some of the best char-broiled burgers around, fries that I crave on a monthly basis, and shakes that taste homemade.

What to get?

  • Pastrami Cheeseburger
  • Cheeseburger
  • Bacon Cheeseburger
  • Charbroiled Chicken Sandwich
  • Chicken Tenders
  • Chicken Nuggets
  • Fries
  • Chocolate Shake

La Carreta (Lunch and Dinner)

We LOVE this restaurant and not because I was born in Peru and my mom cooks Peruvian food all the time. It is so good! The atmosphere is super authentic and chill, and the food is so good and doesn’t leave you feeling too heavy!

What to get?

  • Pollo a la Carreta
  • Lomo a la Saltado
  • Tallarin Saltado
  • Aji de Gallina
  • Pollo a la Braza
  • Ceviche Mixto (we usually get this as an appetizer to share)

Thai Evergreen (Lunch and Dinner)

If you like Thai food, this is the place to go! The owners are so kind and helpful and the food is delicious! We used to go with friends and do family style so we got to try a ton of dishes, which is how we have been able to sample a huge portion of their menu.

What to get?

  • Yellow curry
  • Pineapple curry
  • Panang curry
  • Pad Thai
  • Pad Kee Mow

Tamashi Ramen & Sushi Bar (Lunch and Dinner)

Sushi. Need I say more? This is a new favorite. We have eaten here about 3 times in the last month. I think we’re obsessed. I don’t really like sushi that tastes too fishy (I know, isn’t that the point?) and this restaurant has been too good to me in this department. None of them have a fishy aftertaste! The portion sizes are pretty big and the food is so filling. Here are our favorites:

What to get?

  • Dumpling Ramen
  • Wonton Ramen
  • Egg Drop Soup
  • Wonton Soup
  • Blue Ocean Roll
  • Valentine Sushi Roll
  • Gyoza (appetizer)
  • Edamame (appetizer)
  • Cream Cheese Wonton (appetizer)

The Chocolate (Dessert)

Dessert. That is all. I love chocolate, so a dessert place called “chocolate” cannot fail, right? Right! They have such delicious treats and the store in Orem is in a repurposed home and is SO ADORABLE.

What to get?

  • Cazookie
  • Eclair
  • Lemon Bar
  • German Chocolate Cupcake
  • German Chocolate Cake
  • Dark Chocolate Raspberry Cake

Leatherby’s Family Creamery (Dessert)

Creamery ice cream is so good! Leatherby’s has become one of our favorite places for dessert. They just opened one in Orem, and it is so nice not to drive up to Draper to satisfy my sweet tooth. They sell lunch and dinner as well, but we’re bigger fans of their desserts.

What to get?

  • Rob’s Banana Split
  • Amy’s Hot Fudge Brownie
  • Marianne’s Hot Fudge Sundae
  • Rosie’s Black and White

Rockwell’s Ice Cream Co (Dessert)

I love me some good ol’ fashioned ice cream as much as the next person and Rockwell’s hits the spot. Their ice cream is so creamy and delicious.

What to get?

  • Rockwell Road
  • Cookies ‘n’ Cream
  • Snickerdoodle
  • Strawberry
  • Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

That’s a wrap of the best places to eat in Utah County! If you try any of these places, let us know! We would also love to hear what your favorite places are in Utah County!
