Free Things at CocoCay

On top of all of the free activities at CocoCay, there are also plenty of complimentary things available at CocoCay to make your day more enjoyable!

Drinks

Thirsty for some island refreshments? CocoCay has you covered with a delightful array of free drinks to quench your thirst in paradise. If you have purchased a drink package for your cruise, that follows you onto CocoCay! So you don’t have to worry about paying again for drinks on the island. If you don’t have a drink package, then you don’t need to worry! Water and three kinds of juices (lemon/lime, mango, and strawberry kiwi) are all complimentary on CocoCay.

Swim Jackets

Safety first! CocoCay provides complimentary swim jackets so you can dive into your water-filled adventures worry-free. Whether you’re a seasoned swimmer or a beginner, these trusty floatation devices are there for you. Grab a swim jacket in your size, buckle it on, and embark on your aquatic adventures with peace of mind. From snorkeling to water sports, these complimentary swim jackets ensure everyone can enjoy the water safely.

Beach Strollers and Wheelchairs

CocoCay believes in inclusive fun! That’s why they offer complimentary beach strollers and beach wheelchairs so everyone can enjoy the sun and sand. Take a leisurely stroll along the shoreline or explore the island’s beauty with ease. These convenient companions make it possible for families with little ones or individuals with mobility challenges to fully embrace the beach experience.

If you want one of the complimentary beach strollers or beach wheelchairs, make sure to get off the boat early because they are first-come, first-serve! The wheelchairs can be picked up at the Arrival’s Plaza, Coco Beach Club, and Harbor Beach.

Lockers

Leave your worries behind! Among the free things to do at CocoCay, keeping your stuff safe is on that list! CocoCay has got your belongings covered with complimentary lockers. Keep your valuables safe and secure while you swim, relax, or explore the island. These handy lockers give you peace of mind, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the fun without worrying about your belongings. Whether it’s your wallet, phone, or other essentials, simply stash them away and retrieve them whenever you need them.

Tram

No need to break a sweat! CocoCay has your transportation needs covered with a complimentary tram. Hop on board and let the tram whisk you away to various attractions and destinations on the island. Whether you want to hit the beach, grab a bite to eat, or indulge in some thrilling activities, the tram makes getting around a breeze. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenic ride as you take in the tropical beauty of CocoCay. It’s a convenient and fun way to navigate the island and make the most of your time in paradise.

Of the 3 types of trams, 2 are complimentary and part of our list of free things to do at CocoCay!

  • Pier Tram – takes you from the boat to the Arrival’s Plaza and back! It just runs back and forth so you shouldn’t have to wait long at either end.
  • Island Tram – takes you to all of the major sections of the island! There are stops at the Arrival’s Plaza, Thrill Waterpark, South Beach, Coco Beach Club, Up, Up and Away, Oasis Lagoon, and Chill Island and it takes about 15 minutes to go through the whole island.

Showers

The showers at CocoCay are complimentary! So if you have been playing in the sand or in the ocean and want to freshen up, you don’t have to walk all the way back to the ship to do so!

Towels

There are towel stations all over the island, making it so easy and convenient to grab a fresh towel when you need it! And you don’t have to worry about bringing one from the ship or from home which is always a bonus!

Sports and Activities

Although the more extreme and immersive sports are not complementary, there are great activities that are! There are volleyball courts, basketball courts, ping pong, giant billiards, giant Jenga, and giant Connect 4 games that are complimentary and a lot of fun! If you want a little bit of competition, add this to your free things to do at CocoCay!

Free Things To Do at CocoCay

Now let’s get started on all of the free things to do at CocoCay! Since the island is so big, we’re going to start right at the entrance with the Arrivals Plaza and make our way around to show you all of the complementary activities at CocoCay.

Arrivals Plaza

As you make your way onto the island, there are a few attractions that don’t quite have a homeland. Let’s talk about those!

Captain Jill’s Galleon

Captain Jill’s Galleon is a pirate-themed play area that is every little kid’s dream come true. Climb aboard the massive ship, explore its hidden nooks and crannies, and unleash your inner pirate as you conquer the rope bridges, slides, and interactive water cannons. With its towering masts and thrilling challenges, Captain Jill’s Galleon promises endless fun and excitement for the young and young at heart.

Splashaway Bay

Just beyond Captain Jack’s is Splashaway Bay. This cute little water park is among our favorite free things to do at CocoCay! This small water park is perfect for kids of all ages (yes, even the adult ones!). Get ready to make a splash with thrilling water slides, splash pads, fountains, and interactive water features that will keep you and your kids entertained for hours. With epic kid-friendly water slides to water cannons and geysers, there’s no shortage of excitement and laughter here.

Height Requirements

Water slides have a 36” minimum height requirement.

Skipper’s Grill

Open 11:30 am – 3:00 pm

If you know us, then you know that we are bound to put eating on our list of free things to do at CocoCay! Skipper’s Grill is a casual and complimentary dining spot that is perfect for satisfying your cravings during your island getaway. Picture yourself digging into mouthwatering burgers, juicy hot dogs, grilled chicken, refreshing salads, and tasty sandwiches. Oh, and don’t forget to treat yourself to some fresh fruits and delectable desserts too. So, when hunger strikes, head on over to Skipper’s Grill, grab a plate, and indulge in some delicious island flavors.

Harbor Bay Beach

If you head out back to the Arrivals Plaza, just to the left (or east) of Splashaway Bay, you will see Harbor Beach. This beach is great and because of how they made it, there are hardly any waves! This makes it a great place to hang out if you have littles, especially with how close it is to the kids’ play areas.

Oasis Lagoon

Just beyond Harbor Beach and Splashaway Bay is Oasis Lagoon. Because a lot of the free things to do at CocoCay are at Oasis Lagoon, it is a great place to hang out.

Swim in the Largest Freshwater Pool in the Caribbean

At just under an acre, the Oasis Lagoon pool is the largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean! So you definitely won’t need to worry about finding a spot to relax. There are even underwater speakers in the pool so you don’t need to worry about missing your favorite songs if you want to swim around.

Oasis Lagoon is a great place to go if you have kids! Not only does the pool have a sloping entry and plenty of small islands for kids to swim around, but the pool is also not very deep! The deepest part of the pool is only 4’ 5” deep so that makes it really kid-friendly!

Grab a Drink from the Swim-Up Bar

If you don’t want to get out of the water but need a drink, no sweat! You can just swim over to the swim-up bar and get a drink and relax, without ever getting out of the water! Just like with all of the bars on the island, if you have a drink package on the boat, you can use it here!

Lounge in an In-Water Lounger

If lounging in an in-water lounger is a favorite of yours, you are in luck! Among the free things to do at CocoCay is access to these in-water loungers on the edges of the Oasis Lagoon! There are a lot of them available, but getting to them early is a great way to ensure that you get a good spot! Especially if there are multiple ships on the island.

Grab Some Food at the Snack Shack

Open 10:30 am – 3:30 pm

Once you work up an appetite, the Snack Shack is close by and ready with plenty of food to keep you going for the rest of the day! We love the Snack Shacks on CocoCay because not only are they among the free things to do at CocoCay, but the food is so delicious and so satisfying during a day on the island.

Chill Island

Just beyond the Oasis Lagoon and Harbor Beach is Chill Island. Even though it is one of the largest zones in CocoCay, Chill Island is… chill. The north side is a cozy area with plenty of seating for you to relax in. By taking a left at the Arrivals Plaza, you can take a shortcut to the north side of Chill Island (also known as Breezy Bay). Don’t let the name fool you though. Yes, it’s chill. Yes, there is still much to do for the adventurous soul on the South side!

Grab a Beach Chair at Chill Island

If chilling at Chill Island is on your list, then you are in luck! Chilling on the beach is among our free things to do at CocoCay. From what we noticed, there were plenty of beach chairs available at Chill Island, so you may not need to worry about getting there super early! Again, this will depend on how many boats are at CocoCay though.

Eat at Chill Grill

Open 11:30 am – 3:00 pm

Want to know another great reason to spend your day at Chill Island? You don’t have to leave to get food. The complimentary Chill Grill serves up some delicious food to keep you going for the day, from tacos to BBQ, to burgers. And dessert, of course!

Sports Court

Nestled between the Coco Beach Club and Chill Island is the Sports Court at Breeze Bay! If you want a more active day or just want to go watch a fun pickup game between strangers, this is where you want to be! There are also other free things to do at CocoCay at Chill Island, like some great games like Connect Four, Billiards, and Jenga if you are interested!

South Beach

Now that you have made it to South Beach, let’s talk about all that there is to do! South Beach is just to the west (or the right) of the Coco Beach Club. Even though the Coco Beach Club is not complimentary, that doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy this side of the island! What better place to do so than South Beach? This area is probably one of the most versatile zones in Coco Cay so let’s talk about all there is to do!

Play at the Sports Court

Of all of the free things to do at CocoCay, sports is a common thread in many of the complementary areas, including South Beach. If you have the urge to play some basketball or some sand volleyball, this is a great place to come!

Nature Trail

Are any nature lovers out there? Just because you are on an island with beautiful beaches all around doesn’t mean you can’t want a little variety as well, right? You’ve come to the right place because CocoCay offers a serene and captivating nature trail for you to explore between South Beach and Cove Beach. If you are looking for a leisurely stroll through the island’s lush landscapes, you’ve got to make your way back here. Breathe in the fresh tropical air as you immerse yourself in the island’s natural beauty. This nature trail is perfect for those seeking a peaceful escape.

Grab a Complimentary Snack at the Snack Shack

Open 10:30 am – 3:30 pm

No need to leave South Beach if you are feeling hungry because there is another Snack Shack waiting for you! The complimentary Snack Shack serves food all throughout the day from mozzarella sticks and burgers to some brownies and cookies. Since they have all of the necessities to keep you energized, you just have to worry about having a Perfect day at CocoCay!

Cove Beach

Cove Beach is literally the farthest point away from the Arrival’s Plaza, which also makes it the most secluded! Because of how far it is, it is a great place to hang out and relax away from the hustle and bustle of the island. The only downside is that it is a little far away from the food though!

Well, that’s a wrap for all of the free things to do at CocoCay! This island is a treasure trove of free activities and experiences!
