Exploring the Aquarium with a Toddler

We spent our Saturday afternoon at the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium. To say that Ollie had fun is a major understatement. Home boy was living his best life. He ran from exhibit to exhibit (sorry to all those he ran past!) and examined all of the animals to the best of his abilities. His favorites were definitely the birds and the turtles. I think he likes saying ‘turtle’ more than he liked the actual turtle.

Since he is still little, he didn’t have to wear a mask, which was nice because he is not one to keep things on that he does not want on. That applies to everything from socks and shoes to his pajamas at night. We’ve had to safety pin them shut so he doesn’t undress himself in the middle of the night! Anyone else have this problem and have a better solution than a safety pin? It worries me to have that on there! Especially since he is a tummy sleeper.

Back to the aquarium… haha. It was fun to get out of the house and to have something else entertain Oliver. He definitely thrives when he’s around people and has space to run. The aquarium was fun before kids, but it was a million times more fun (and exhausting) with Ollie there.
